Job Services Australia (JSA) Overview:

Job Services Australia is about developing a new approach to employment services, one that is highly focused on meeting your needs, whether you’re a job seeker, or an employer. Job Services Australia folds seven separate employment services programs into a one-stop shop, giving you a single entry point to a range of user friendly employment services.

Job Services Australia provides more support for all job seekers, including those who have recently lost their job and remote and disadvantaged job seekers. The new services offer job seekers real skills and more purposeful assistance through greater flexibility and more tailored services to suit their individual needs.

disability employment services (DES) Overview:

On 1 March 2010, the Australian Government introduced the new and improved Disability Employment Services, delivering more effective employment assistance for job seekers with disability. All eligible job seekers with disability will have access to individually tailored and comprehensive services which meet their needs including capacity building, training, work experience and other interventions to help participants obtain and maintain suitable employment.

A key distinguishing feature of Disability Employment Services is their capacity to support and manage a participant’s condition in the workplace, along with providing ongoing support in the workplace for as long as it is required.
